Requirements and Assumptions When Installing OEDS for EQC

The requirements and assumptions when installing OEDS for use with EQC are listed below.

Operating Systems

Installing OEDS requires installing one of the following operating systems with latest service packs and security patches:

• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
• Windows 2003 Server

Software

Before running the OEDS Wizard, you must install the following items in the order listed, with the latest service packs and security patches:

• Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher (installed with the Windows operating system.)
• .NET 2.0
• Oracle Client

  Note: For installations using OPERA versions 4.0 or higher, Oracle Client 10g must be installed.

OPERA Electronic Distribution Suite Wizard

OPERA Electronic Distribution Suite (OEDS) should only be installed after installing IIS, .Net 2.0, and the Oracle Client. Access the OPERA application server on-site and go to the micros/opera/tools directory. In the OEDS folder, copy the OEDS.zip file over to the local PC and extract the contents to a temp directory.
