OPERA Property Management Hotel Mobile
OPERA Property Management Hotel Mobile provides you with the ability to efficiently accommodate guests without having to be behind the front desk. Using a mobile device such as an iPhone or tablet, you can interact with guests and staff while in any area of the hotel. OPERA Web Services (OWS) communicates real-time messages to and from your device with the OPERA Property Management System database (the same database the front desk uses) so you can make reservations, check guests in or out, and manage housekeeping and room maintenance tasks.
iPhone - iOS
The iPhone provides functionality for:
- Housekeeping
- Filtering and showing rooms
- Changing room status
- Viewing queue rooms
- Creating maintenance tasks
- Filtering and showing maintenance tasks
- Resolving maintenance tasks
Tablet - Win8.1/10 (e-Series Tablets)
The tablet provides functionality for:
- Checking guests in
- Searching reservations and rooms
- Capturing signature and printing the registration card
- Capturing the credit card
- Creating a room key
- Viewing profiles
- Checking guests out
- Posting payments
- Manual article posting
- Moving charges to another window
- Emailing folio
- Housekeeping and maintenance
OPERA Setup
These installation steps must be completed for Hotel Mobile to communicate with the OPERA Property Management database. Ensure that:
- PMS-specific basic OEDS server installation is done (OEDS Installation and Upgrade Process Flow)
- KIOSK/OEDS Interface is installed and configured (Kiosk Interface Configuration in OPERA)
- KIOSK parameter is set for O2G channel
- OEDS/KIOSK application settings are active (Kiosk Group Application Settings)
- KIOSK INTERFACE CONFIGURATION Permission granted
- Each OWS request should be requested for EntityID/System Type as O2G and channelValidation = "false"
- The application parameter MASK_CC_FOR_WSRESPONSE should be set to Y
- OPERA2Go license code (OHO_500) is active (System Configuration > Setup > License Codes)
- OPERA2Go user interface is installed and configured on the mobile device
