Property Determination. An additional IFC Credit Card Type, SV (which stands for “stored value”), has been added to handle an increasingly popular variation on the credit card payment option — gift cards. If a payment method has IFC CC Type of SV assigned, authorization procedures are typically different from the standard credit card.
Note: This setting activates the SV Payment Type only which allows payment with a gift card. If full stored value functionality is needed (activate, issue, reload) a setting in the Interface Configuration is available.

When the SV card type is selected for a payment type, a check for an existing bin range is performed. If the bin range does exist, a validation as per the bin range will be completed. But if the bin range does not exist, then the ranges will not be checked.
But if a validation rule has been configured for the SV payment type, then the gift card will be validated as per that configured rule. |
