Description.  Activate Data Extraction Functionality.

The Data Extraction feature is a flexible tool that allows you to find and extract information from the OPERA database for a variety of purposes. For example, using Data Extraction you can:

• Query for the information needed to create name and address labels, letters, and other materials for customized  mailings. The data you "mine" from the OPERA database can be used with Microsoft Word mail- merge tools to print form letters, Avery labels, name tags, and many other products using the standard Word templates.
• Create custom info lists for various purposes — for example, you can create lists of contacts and their email addresses, lists of VIP guests in-house, lists of guests in house having a birthday tomorrow, and so on.
• Simplify database maintenance.  For example you can easily find out which accounts do not have a contact, which contacts do not have a phone number, or which profiles do not have an address or a ZIP code.
• Build files that can be imported into third-party programs such as Microsoft Excel and Access for your own purposes.
• Easily set up query statements in "native" SQL code that can be directly copied into data management programs like SQL Navigator.
