Casino (Point, Comp, Info) Inquiry Messages from OPERA

The Casino (Point, Comp, Info) Inquiry Messages from OPERA functionality is available with the following license codes:

OPX_GA2
OPX_BALL
OPX_ACSC
OPX_ARIS

Purpose

Casino Inquiry Messages permit OPERA to inquire about the current profile point balance, comp balance, player ranking, status, etc. in PTS. This could enable a guest to check his or her balance in OPERA and/or review his/her casino status.

Scenarios

Inquiry with card present.
Inquiry with player ID.

Business Rules

The following business rules apply:

The act of inquiry does not lock points. This means that the response will be a temporary view only but will not be stored in OPERA.
Basic information on the Casino profile (ranking, status, points accrued, etc).
The balance is subject to change between inquiries.
Shows current balance only.
Entry points for the inquiry are Memberships Points button from the Profile screen and the Cashier>Billing>Options screen.
No financial transactions will be involved in this inquiry.

OPERA Requirements

To accommodate the varying needs of the industry, the OPERA guest profile has an additional Player Stats button that once selected, will invoke an online request to the respective PTS for specific information such as player ranking, accrued comp points/dollars, gaming spends, etc. This tab can also be called from Comp Accounting menu.

The player statistics form displays up to 30 configurable player details and one Note field sent from the PTS. The PTS determines the labels and data values to be displayed within the message. This form is informational only and has no OPERA interaction other than displaying the data.

PTSInquiry (OPERA to PTS)

OPERA sends a PTSInquiryRequest upon user request. The PTS responds with at PTSInquiryResponse message detailing the field labels and data to be displayed. The data is dynamically formatted with simply tag names and values. Up to 30 values and one long notes field (2000 characters) can be accommodated.
