Profile Auto Match Rules Configuration
The Profile Auto Match Rules Configuration is accessed from Configuration>Profiles>Profile Auto Merge Setup>Rules when the user has been granted the Profile Config>Profile Automerge Configuration user permission and can be configured either as match rules for individual data fields or for data field combinations, where the weighing points will only apply if all components in that combination match.
Internal Match Criteria includes the profile elements that are checked for a primary match before the profiles are merged. These items are not configurable and are visible to the user on the Profile Auto Merge Rule Criterias screen. These are the base for every weighing point matching activity and if Internal Match Criteria fails, then no further weighing point match is attempted. Internal Match Criteria that are looked at before the Merge Rules include the following:

Note: As Address1 is a Primary Element of the Address collection, it includes the State, City, Country, and Zip elements within it.
Once the internal entry match is successful, the system will continue matching on the defined weighing points. The configuration of Profile Auto Match Rules and weighing points is based on the configured chains and/or properties. Each profile type can be configured separately in the merge rules. Merge Rules can be set as a combination of fields.
Note: When the Profiles>Chain Ownership application function is set to Y, each profile type will need to be configured for a rule as only one rule can be assigned to a specific chain and as such all profile types will need to be set up for the rule.
Rule Code. Select the down arrow to choose a specific Rule Code.
Profile Type. Select the down arrow to choose a specific Profile Type.
Rule Code. Configured Rule Code.
Profile Type. Profile Type that the Rule Code has been configured for.
Details. Select to define the weighting points for profile matches based on the data field/combination of data fields.
