Sabre Custom Offers Setup
OPERA can leverage Sabre’s Custom Offers (CO) for hotels. This allows users to offer focused rates, products and/or services to their guests as well as better targeted marketing messages to potential guests.
To enable this feature for your property, you need to set up the promotional rate code for Sabre and map this code to your property’s GDS rate code under Channel Conversion. Once these codes are configured and mapped, OWS (OPERA Web Services) will return a PMI (Promotional Message ID) in the area availability and general availability searches.
To set up the Custom Offers feature, you must first configure the promotional codes that Sabre offers to its customers.
To set up the promotional rate code:
Promotion Group: Select Sabre Custom Offers
Promotion Code: Enter a promotion code applicable to Sabre’s customers.
Name: Enter a description for the promotion.
Booking Start/End Dates: Select the calendar tool and choose the booking start and end dates for the promotion.
Stay Start/End Dates: Select the calendar tool and choose the eligible stay dates.
In Channel Conversion, you must create a new rate code conversion for your GDS channel and select the promotional code you configured in the above procedure.
To create the channel conversion rate code and map it to the Sabre promotion code:
Channel: Select your Sabre distribution channel.
Property: Select your property.
Block Rate Indicator: Select the Rate Code option.
Rate Short Desc. Enter a brief description for the rate code.
Rate Code: Enter the name for the promotional rate code.
Channel Rate Code: Select the promotion code that was configured in the above procedure.
Booking Start/End Dates: Select the calendar tool and choose the booking start and end dates for the promotional rate code.
Note: While creating a reservation with the promotional/special offer rate code, the promotion code automatically attaches to the reservation.
