Time Zones

Use Time Zones setup to manage the time zone codes used throughout your properties or chains.

Select Time Zones to display a list of the existing time zone codes. Click Edit to change a code, Delete to remove a code, or New to create a new code.

Time Zone. The code for a time zone (AST, ET, PT, EDT).

Adjustment from GMT. When OPERA is set up with a multi property environment, this field automatically fills with a pre- configured Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) adjustment for each time zone. GMT is the mean solar time for the meridian at Greenwich, England, used as a basis for calculating time throughout most of the world. This adjustment is taken into consideration for cancellation rules.

Description. The name or description for a time zone (Atlantic Standard Time, Eastern Standard Time, Pacific Time, Eastern Daylight Saving Time).
