About OPERA webProposal
OPERA webProposal is a unique web-enabled tool for creating, distributing, and managing professionally designed, customized proposals associated with business blocks or transient sales. The webProposal feature is available in OPERA Sales and Catering (S&C), Property Management System (PMS), and Sales Force Automation (SFA). S&C and PMS applications can create webProposals for blocks, while S&C and SFA can create transient webProposals.
- webProposal is a hosted service that is maintained by the OPERA Data Centers. When the webProposal license is active, webProposal can be launched in a separate browser window by selecting a button from any OPERA business block screen or by clicking a separate URL link.
- By selecting the proposal template you want to apply, you can create proposal templates that can be translated in multiple languages and sent to clients via email as a URL link to an HTML format presentation and/or as a PDF document.
- webProposal assembles a new proposal by auto populating the chosen template with client and contact information, sleeping room requirements, meeting facilities needs, catering requirements and other details for the selected business block. Up-to-the-minute information is pulled directly from the OPERA database via OPERA web services. Room Grid and Catering Events are shown in an easy-to-read matrix format, with the Catering Events section allowing for selection of a regular or detailed presentation of the event features, including booked resources such as menus and equipment or decoration items.
- webProposal lets you customize proposals by adding links to web resources (such as hotel websites, virtual tours, and local attractions) and/or printable resources (such as sample contracts, restaurant menus, and rate cards), and by selecting recipients. A preview feature lets you see the completed proposal before it is sent. When you are ready, an email message that includes a link to the proposal is delivered instantly to your client contacts. An email alerts the sales manager when the proposal is first viewed by the client.
- Other webProposal features include a list of active proposals (with notations when the proposal was sent and opened by the recipient) and an archive of completed proposals (proposals that have reached their expiration date.
Some of the benefits available with webProposal include:
- A speedier response to requests for proposals increases customer satisfaction.
- Accurate and current information is always available to clients.
- Professional-looking presentation of booking details enhances your image.
- Standardized responses create a unified impression of your brand.
- Proposal tracking and follow-up are simplified.
- Helps control printing and mailing costs.
