Part 6 - Build OBI Cubes from Local Tables in the Cloud

In the final part of the process, you will set an application parameter and rebuild all the OBI cubes from local tables in the Cloud. By parameterizing this functionality, you can build your OBI cubes in the Cloud from local data, which completely isolates OBI data from OPERA data. This makes it faster and more convenient to build OBI data cubes.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Set the OBI>Parameters>USE OBI LOCAL TABLES FOR CUBES to Y. This will allow OBI to read data from the local OBI tables when building cubes.
  2. Schedule the Daily Cube Build (see OBI Cube Maintenance) from the OBI Cube Scheduler Procedures.

    Note: After the cubes are built, you will create the OBI users (see Edit Users) and configure the OBI User Access.
