Rates Overview

Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three option buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect what Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings will be available.

- The Global option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.
- The Property option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level and will only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.

Functions

ADVANCED DYNAMIC BASE RATES - Activate Advanced Dynamic Base Rates functionality.
ADVANCED PACKAGES - Activate Advanced Package functionality.
ADVANCED POLICIES - Activate Advanced Policies Functionality.
APARTMENT STYLE BILLING - Activates ability to configure weekly/monthly Apartment Style rates and invoice guests in advance on a weekly/monthly periodic basis.
BASE RATES - Activation of Rates Based on Rates Functionality.
BEST AVAILABLE RATES - Display the best available rate per room type in the rate query display.
CONVERT TO ADVANCE RATE - Choose ‘Y’ if you want to convert existing rates from simple or existing BASE/BAR structures into Advanced Dynamic Structure.
DAILY RATES - Activate Daily Rates Functionality.
DAY TYPES - Activate Day Type Functionality.
DYNAMIC BASE RATES - User can set up dependent rate codes dynamically (calculated while checking availability) based on daily or regular rate code.
DYNAMIC BEST AVAILABLE RATE - Activate Dynamic Best Available Rate Functionality.
FREE CHILD RATES BY DEFINED BUCKETS - When turned on, system calculates the price of a child staying for free in the property.
MYFIDELIO RATE UPLOAD - Activate to identify rate codes that should be uploaded to the MyFidelio.net application.
NEGOTIATED RATES - Activate Negotiated Rates functionality.
OCCUPANT THRESHOLD PRICING METHOD - Pricing method which calculates extra charge based on the occupants.
PREVAILING RATE BY LOS - Activate the Prevailing Rate By Length of Stay functionality.
PREVAILING RATE CODE - The rate code that will be referenced in the sell process as the 'Prevailing' Rate.
PROMOTIONS - Activate Reservation Promotions functionality.
RATE CODE APPROVAL - Rate Code Approval.
RATE HEADER MULTIPLE ROOM TRN CODE LINKAGE - Link Multiple Transaction Codes by Room Class / Room Type on the Rate Header
RATE RESTRICTION - Activate the Advance Rate Restriction Functionality, which includes Rate Availability and Rate Strategy screens.
RATE SEASONS - Activate Rate Season Functionality.
RATE TIERS - This allows configuration of Length of Stay Tiers and Rate Details by defined Lengths of Stay.
RATES BY DEFINED BUCKETS - Rate Details can be configured by five user defined buckets.
SUPPRESS RATE - Activate Suppress Rate Functionality.

Parameters

ADD INCLUDED PACKAGE IN ROOM REVENUE - This parameter change calculation of room revenue statistics (reservation_stat_daily table) and add included package's revenue into the room revenue.
ADVANCED DAILY RATES - An Advanced Daily Rate behaves like a regular Daily Rate with the exception that its Rate Details are populated by indicating the Daily Base Rate for each date instead of manually typing its rate amounts.
BAR APPLIED TO RATE DETAIL - When the Advanced Dynamic Base Rates application function is active, BAR will be applied to the selected rate detail.
BAR DETAILS DISPLAY OPTION - When active and in conjunction with the application parameter BAR APPLIED TO RATE DETAIL is active, BAR Amount, BAR Type and Rounding can be set on the Rate Detail level.
BASE RATE EXTRA PERSON CALCULATION - Indicates if Base Rate Calculation should be applied to Extra Adult and Extra Child Amount.
DEFAULT MEMBERSHIP FLAG ON RATE HEADER - Setting this to Y will check mark the 'Membership' flag on the rate header for any newly created rate.
DEFAULT TO HIGHEST BAR - This parameter enables a flag on the Rate Header Configuration to force BAR-Dependent Rates to calculate its Rate Amount based on the highest BAR Rate instead of defaulting to its own Rate Detail when all BAR Rates are closed.
DISPLAY CAT DEMAND DAYS AS COLOR - Determines if the Catering Demand Day "Color" or "Code" will be displayed in the Inquiry (Shift + F4) and Function Diary (Shift + F9) screens.
DISTRIBUTABLE RATES - The functionality allows Rate codes to be distributed to V6 and V7 properties interfaced to ORS.
DISTRIBUTE RATES MANUALLY - Manually Distribute Rates Codes to Properties.
ENABLE PROMOTION NAME SEARCH - Search by promotion name from promotion codes configuration screen.
ENABLE RATE CODE DESCRIPTION SEARCH - Search by rate code description from rate code configuration screen.
ENABLE RATE GROUPS - When Rate Groups are enabled, out of all Best Available Rates only the BEST rate code for each rate group will display.
FLAG OWNER RATE CODE - Ability to define Rate Code as an Owner Rate Code. Upon guest no show, reservation with Owner Rate Code will not be automatically no showed during End of Day.
HIDE PROMOTION RATES - Hide the display of rate Codes attached to Promotions in the Rate Query/Sales screen unless selecting the specific Promotion Code.
INTERFACE PUBLISHING - If ENABLED all new rate codes created by the OXIHUB interface will look at the rate code template table for channels in which this rate code should be published.
LINK CATERING PACKAGE TO RATE CODE - Allow for linking of Catering Packages to Rate Codes.
LOCK APPROVED RATE CODES - When RATE CODE APPROVAL is active and this parameter is turned ON, all approved rate codes are locked and only users with the RATE CODE APPROVAL permission can modify the rates.
MAXIMUM RATE ALLOWED - When active, new functionality will be available on the Rate Details screen to allow entry of a Maximum rate amount for single and double rate amounts.
MEMBERSHIP RATES - Activates membership rates that allows linking of a rate code to a membership type/membership level.
MINIMUM RATE ALLOWED - When active, new functionality will be available on the Rate Details screen to allow entry of a Minimum rate amount for single and double rate amounts.
MULTI CURRENCY - Ability to Quote and Post Rates in both Local and Foreign Currencies.
MULTIPLE YIELD MARKET TYPES - When YIELD MARKET TYPES is active, allows configuration of multiple yield market types per rate header, one being default.
NEGOTIATED RATE TEMPLATE - If ENABLED allows to mark negotiated rates in the rate code template.
OCCUPANCY BASED PRICING - When active, the Rate Strategies screen will allow configuration of an increase/decrease in rate amounts based on the hotel occupancy.
ONE WAY RATE INHERITANCE - When active, users will have the ability to configure a one way rate inheritance between profiles with a relationship.
ORS SELL SEQUENCE FOR RATES - This parameter allows for the Hotel to define the Sell Sequence of the Rates in ORS.
PACKAGE PRICING AND AVAILABILITY ATTRIBUTES - Ability to specify Min / Max of Nights, Persons (Adults + Children) for each date range on Package details.
PROMOTION COUPON CODES - The ability to generate limited use coupon codes linked to a promotion code.
PROMOTION LINKED TO PAYMENT METHODS - Promotion linked to payment methods.
PROMOTIONS PROTECT - Enable promotion configuration protection. When enabled, only the system that created the promotion configuration in OPERA can update it.
RATE CODE POSTING RHYTHM - Ability to define 'Do not post on every X night.'
RATE DETAIL ADDED VALUE PER PERSON - Create Rate Details as flat amounts per person or enter Rate Details as added values.
RATE FLOOR - Set a minimum rate amount for rate details.
RATE OWNERSHIP - Rate ownership will allow specific users to have absolute control over specific rates and their restrictions.
RATE STRATEGY LOGGING FOR RESERVATION RESTRICTIONS - Reservation Restrictions log to be enabled/disabled when initiated by Rate Strategy Processor.
REALTIME HOLIDEX RATE AVAILABILITY - This parameter will introduce the real-time rate availability check from HOLIDEX.
REFRESH MANUAL PACKAGES - When this parameter is active, the attributes of manually added packages on the reservation will be refreshed based on the existing package configuration in the same way as packages attached via rate code are refreshed.
SET RATE CATEGORY RESTRICTIONS - Set Rate Restriction at Rate Category level.
SET RATE CODE RESTRICTIONS - Set Rate Restriction at Rate Code level.
SHOW ADD SEPARATE LINE PKGS TO RATES ON RATE QUERY - Include Packages that are ‘Add Rate Separate Line’ in the Rate Query.
SHOW PROFILE DISCOUNTS IN RATE AVAILABILITY - Show Profile Discounts in Rate Availability Screen.
YIELD MARKET TYPES - Activate Yield Market Type Hurdle Functionality

Settings

BEST AVAILABLE RATE TYPE - When set to BAR by Day, up to 25 Rate Codes per day can be configured for consideration of the Best Available Rate.
COMPARE RATE LOCATION - Choose this setting to define whether the compare rate details for Advance Dynamic Base Rates appears on the More tab or on the Rate Detail tab of the Rate Setup screen.
DAILY RATES MAX DAYS - Maximum Number of Days user can configure for Daily Rates functionality.
DEFAULT PACKAGE TRN CODE - Default Transaction Code for Package Rate Codes.
DEFAULT RATE LEVEL - Default rate level used by interfaces when uploading rate codes to external systems, such as to GDS.
DEFAULT TRANSACTION CODE - Default Transaction Code.
LOCK DOWN DAILY RATE DETAILS - Lock down daily rate details to avoid manual edition. Rates Details are being maintained through an interface.
MANDATE RESV PROFILES - Profile types to be mandatory for the specific rates on reservations.
MASS RATE REFRESH CONFIRMATION LETTER - Designates report to be sent for massive rate refresh.
MAX NUMBER RATE LEVELS - Maximum Number of Rate Levels system will support for Dynamic Best Available Rate functionality.
MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 1 - The maximum age threshold for first rate bucket.
MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 2 - The maximum age threshold for second rate bucket.
MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 3 - The maximum age threshold for third rate bucket.
MAXIMUM PRICE INCREMENT - Maximum increment amount allowed for Occupancy Based Pricing.
MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 1 - The minimum age threshold for the first rate bucket.
MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 2 - The minimum age threshold for the second rate bucket.
MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 3 - The minimum age threshold for the third rate bucket.
MINIMUM PRICE INCREMENT - Minimum increment amount allowed for Occupancy Based Pricing.
PACKAGE ATTRIBUTES FOR EXTERNAL RATES - Allow users to select attributes so that the packages with selected attributes can be attached to an externally controlled rate code.
PACKAGE AVAILABILITY CONTROLS - Provides an ability to select certain values that activate specific configuration options for Package elements and validations when attaching them to a reservation either manually or via Rate code.
RATE BUCKET 4 - Label for the fourth Rate Bucket. Rate amounts can NOT be defined for this bucket in Rate Code configuration.
RATE BUCKET 5 - Label for the fifth Rate Bucket. Rate amounts can NOT be defined for this bucket in Rate Code configuration.
RATE FLOOR LEVEL OF CONTROL - This setting allows users to control at which level rate floors are set.
RATE STRATEGY THRESHOLD NOTIFICATION EMAIL ADDRESSES - Comma separated list of email addresses to which email notifications are to be sent when the rate strategy is being modified or when the rate strategy is about to be triggered as per the threshold rules set up on the rate strategy.
RATE TIERS CALCULATION - Allow Rate Tier amounts to be based on the Entire Stay of the reservation, First Tier, or on a Daily basis.
RESTRICTION TYPES - Restriction Types to be available for Property.
START OF RATE WEEK - First day of the week for Apartment Style Rates having calendar week cycle.
